ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT



At the Northfield Hotel we aim to offer high levels of hospitality to all our guests, regardless of any permanent or temporary disability, medical condition or other specific requirement. This Access Statement is designed to give you the information you need to assess how effectively we can meet your particular needs.

PRIOR TO ARRIVAL

Reservations can be made by telephone or email.

The hotel is located on the lower slopes of North hill. We are situated just a short stroll from the seafront, West Somerset Railway, Harbour and Town centre. It is a small hill walk, but we can easily arrange a taxi for you on request. Directions to the hotel can be found on the website.

ARRIVAL

There is a designated disabled parking bays to the front entrance of the hotel. The front entrance is level flooring to the car park. Assistance with luggage is always available, and this can be collected from/delivered to your car if required. The entrance hall floor is wooden flooring and all on one level.

PUBLIC AREAS

The bar lounge, front lounge and restaurant is all on one level. Our first floor and second floor are accessed by our lift. The ground floor bedrooms are accessed down some steps; please let us know at the time of booking if you have any particular needs in this respect. Ladies’ and Gentlemen’s toilets are both located on the ground floor close to reception, and the Disabled WC is by the front entrance.

The Swimming Pool is located on the ground floor and is accessed by a flight of 13 stairs with handrail, there is also a stair lift in place if required. The pool itself is accessed by 5 steps with handrails then a 4-step hand railed ladder allows access into the water.

ACCOMMODATION

The hotel has a handful of bedrooms specifically designed for use by guests with impaired mobility; however, our team are more than happy to discuss your particular requirements. Bedrooms vary in terms of shape and size however many will be suitable for guests with minor disabilities so do please feel free to call us and let our Reception team assist you.

GENERAL

All information such as menus and bedroom information can be printed in larger fonts if so required. Service dogs are accepted at the hotel by prior arrangement.

We have tried to be accurate and as comprehensive as possible in the preparation of this Access Statement. All team members are more than happy to assist in any way possible to ensure that you have a very enjoyable stay at the Northfield Hotel.
